Judith Flaxman, Ph.D., Director

Judith Flaxman, Ph.D., Director, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who has over twenty years of experience providing treatment to individuals, as well as teaching and training graduate students.

She was a professor at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology for over twenty years, where she taught courses in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), health psychology, and cognitive behavior therapy.

Dr. Flaxman uses cognitive-behavioral treatment and mindfulness techniques for individuals with anxiety, depression and interpersonal problems. She also specializes in the treatment of sleep disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She is a certified EMDR practitioner, consultant and instructor. She has been using EMDR to treat clients since 1991.
